AppFollow review (2026): what each plan costs, what the free plan already gives you, and who should pay
AppFollow now publishes its prices. The free plan is more generous than most paid ASO plans; the jump that matters is for review-heavy teams.
Checked against AppFollow's live pricing page (monthly and yearly billing, every plan card and the comparison table), AppFollow's blog, help center and comparison pages, and Vendr, on Oct 10, 2026.
The short answer
AppFollow is a review management and ASO platform for the App Store, Google Play and other stores. Its free plan covers 2 apps, 500 tracked keywords and 10 competitors with 7 days of history. ASO costs $29 a month ($19 billed yearly), Essential $179 ($129) and Team $599 ($425). Most indie apps need Free or ASO; pay more for review automation at volume.

01The verdict for indie iOS apps
AppFollow started as a review management tool and still leads with it: AI replies, tagging, helpdesk integrations and alerts. ASO keyword tracking sits alongside. For an indie developer the free plan is the surprise — 500 tracked keywords for two apps costs nothing — and AppFollow's own plans post tells indie and solo developers to “start on Free or the ASO plan.”
Worth it if…
- You get enough reviews that replying, tagging and translating them takes real time
- Support runs in Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk or Salesforce and reviews should land there
- You want keyword tracking for one or two apps without paying for it
Skip it if…
- You need competitor download and revenue estimates — AppFollow's plans don't list them
- You want more than 30 days of keyword history without paying $179 a month
- You only need one dashboard for downloads, revenue and keywords — Appfigures is built for that
According to ASOitis's check of AppFollow's live pricing page on October 10, 2026, its free plan tracks 500 keywords and 10 competitors for 2 apps — five times the 100 keywords on Appfigures' $44.99-a-month Monitor plan — while the “$19 a month” on AppFollow's comparison pages is its ASO plan billed yearly; paying monthly costs $29.

02What each plan costs and includes
| Plan | Billed monthly | Per month, billed yearly | Apps | Keywords | Competitors | History |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 2 | 500 | 10 | 7 days |
| ASO | $29 | $19 | 2 | 500 | 30 | 30 days |
| Essential | $179 | $129 | 5 | 3,000 | 100 | 365 days |
| Team | $599 | $425 | 10 | 9,000 | 250 | Full |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom |
What the jumps buy: ASO adds AI keyword suggestions, search downloads, an organic traffic dashboard and in-app events tracking. Essential adds automated review translation, an AI support agent, downloads by keyword, sentiment tags, helpdesk integrations and CSV export. Team adds advanced AI and monitoring agents, semantic tags, executive reports and the Microsoft, Xbox and Amazon stores.
03Review management and AI agents
- AI agents on every plan. In September 2026 AppFollow turned its automation into agents: “The AI Support agent replies to reviews, the Categorization agent tags them, and the Rating protection agent reports harmful reviews to the stores.” Its help center lists them as available on all plans; the pricing page reserves the “advanced” versions for Team.
- Replies in your helpdesk. Reviews can flow into Zendesk, Salesforce, Helpshift, Freshdesk or Intercom and be answered there.
- More than two stores. Besides the App Store and Google Play, AppFollow lists integrations for stores such as the Samsung Galaxy Store and Steam, and its Team plan adds Microsoft, Xbox and Amazon.
Replying matters for more than goodwill. Apple says that when you respond to a review, “the reviewer is notified and has the option to update their review” — see our guide to asking for App Store ratings for the other half of the job.
04MCP server and API
AppFollow launched an MCP server and AI toolkit in August 2026, so assistants like Claude can query your reviews, ratings and keywords. Its blog says “there's no separate charge for the connector or the toolkit, and both work on any plan, though which methods you can reach depends on your subscription.” Usage draws on API credits: 500 a month on Free and ASO, 1,000 on Essential and Team.
05Fine print and one claim to check
- The FAQ is out of date. AppFollow's pricing FAQ still describes the free plan as “track 2 apps, 1000 keywords… invite up to 5 team members”; the plan table on the same page says 500 keywords and unlimited users. We've used the table.
- “From $19” means yearly. AppFollow's comparison pages quote the ASO plan from $19 a month. That's the yearly-billed rate; monthly it's $29.
- A claim about Appfigures that doesn't hold. AppFollow's comparison page says “Appfigures gives you downloads, revenue, estimates and ASO from $9.99 a month.” In Appfigures' own plan table, the $9.99 Connect plan has no keyword tracking, and download and revenue estimates start on Boost at $399.99 a month — see our Appfigures review.
