MobileAction review (2026): the $15 ASO plan, the free Apple Ads manager, and what's behind a sales call
Two products in one brand: a cheap, published ASO tracker and an Apple Ads platform with a genuinely free tier. Market intelligence and the API sit behind a sales call.
Checked against MobileAction's pricing page (monthly and yearly prices in its raw HTML), product pages, blog and comparison pages, AppTweak's Campaign Manager page, and Vendr, on Oct 11, 2026.
The short answer
MobileAction is an ASO and Apple Ads platform owned by InMobi. Its ASO Lite plan costs $15 a month ($12.50 billed yearly) for 100 keywords across 5 apps; Basic is $69 ($59) and Pro $239 ($199). Apple Ads management is a separate product, free up to $10,000 of monthly ad spend. Download estimates, the API and its MCP server are custom-priced.

01The verdict for indie iOS apps
MobileAction is really two products. Its ASO plans are published, cheap at the bottom, and generous on apps and competitors. Its Apple Ads platform, MobileAction CMP, has a free tier that's useful the moment you start paid search. Everything heavier — download and revenue estimates for other apps, ad intelligence, the API — is sold through a sales call.
Worth it if…
- You want paid keyword tracking at the lowest published price
- You run, or plan to run, Apple Ads and want free automation on top
- You track several apps or competitors on a small budget
Skip it if…
- You need competitor download and revenue estimates on a self-serve plan
- You want an MCP server or API without an enterprise contract
- You only need tracking for one or two apps — AppFollow's free plan covers 500 keywords
According to ASOitis's check of MobileAction's pricing page on October 11, 2026, its $15-a-month ASO Lite plan is the cheapest paid keyword tracking among the tools we've reviewed — 100 keywords across 5 apps, the same keyword count as Appfigures' $44.99 Monitor plan — while its Apple Ads manager is a separate product that's free up to $10,000 of monthly ad spend.

02What each plan costs and includes
| Plan | Billed monthly | Per month, billed yearly | Keywords | Apps / competitors | History | Seats |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | $15 | $12.50 | 100 | 5 apps, 3 each | 3 months | 1 |
| Basic | $69 | $59 | 500 | 8 apps, 10 each | 6 months | 1 |
| Pro | $239 | $199 | 1,500 | 10 apps, 15 each | 12 months | 3 |
| Enterprise | Contact us | — | Flexible | 20 apps, unlimited | — | Unlimited |
Lite launched in April 2025 with 25 keywords and 3 apps; in November 2025 MobileAction said “ASO Lite users can now track roughly 4 times more keywords, gain 2 more app-tracking slots, and 6 more competitor-tracking slots.” Basic adds custom product page keyword research and AI review replies; Pro adds organic downloads per keyword, a metadata optimization tool and a keyword translator.
03The free Apple Ads manager
MobileAction CMP is its Apple Ads platform. The free plan covers up to $10,000 of monthly ad spend with unlimited data retention, one seat, an ads manager, automation templates and MMP integrations — and Apple Ads spend is billed separately by Apple. Enterprise adds custom product page A/B testing, AI smart bidding and unlimited spend. MobileAction says it's an official Apple Ads Partner, and its AI assistant entered open beta in September 2026.
For an indie app starting Apple Ads with a small budget, that free tier is the most useful thing MobileAction offers: automation rules on top of Apple's own console, at no cost. Our custom product pages entry explains why each ad group should point at a matching page.
04What's behind a sales call
- Market intelligence. “Current and historical revenue and download estimates on the App Store and Google Play Store”, plus daily and monthly active users — no published price.
- API and MCP server. MobileAction launched an MCP server in August 2026 that's “now available to all API customers”; the API itself is custom-priced, so self-serve plans don't include it.
- Ad and Search Ads intelligence. Competitors' ad creatives and paid keywords, also custom.
Third-party buyer data reflects those contracts, not the $15 plan: Vendr shows a median of $100,000 a year, with no sample size or date stated. MobileAction has been part of InMobi Advertising, as its site footer notes.
05One comparison claim to check
MobileAction's AppTweak comparison page marks AppTweak as lacking an “Advanced Apple Ads campaign management platform.” AppTweak sells exactly that: its Campaign Manager is described as an “AI-powered Apple Ads optimization tool.” Vendor comparison pages go stale; check each claim against the other vendor's own pages — see our AppTweak review.
