# Honest reviews of the tools indie iOS apps pay for

> These reviews answer one question: what does this tool cost and do for an indie iOS app, specifically? Every page shows the published plans with the date we checked them, works out the bill at realistic revenue levels, and names what the tool doesn't do before you find out the hard way.

Most tool reviews are written by the tools themselves or by sites paid per signup. Ours are written for the reader making the decision. Where we have a relationship with a tool — we install RevenueCat as part of our [Paywall Setup](https://asoitis.com/fixes) — the review says so at the top.

Pricing pages change without notice, so each review shows the date the numbers were checked and links to the vendor's live page. The cost tables use the vendor's own wording for what gets billed, because "1% of revenue" means different things at different companies.

Choosing between two tools? The [comparisons](https://asoitis.com/compare) put them side by side for specific scenarios.

- [Appfigures review (2026): which plan an indie iOS developer actually needs](https://asoitis.com/reviews/appfigures) — Five paid plans from $9.99 to $1,399.99 a month. Most indie apps need one of the bottom three — here's how to tell which. (markdown: https://asoitis.com/reviews/appfigures.md)
- [RevenueCat review (2026): what it really costs an indie iOS app, and when to skip it](https://asoitis.com/reviews/revenuecat) — The default subscription backend for indie iOS apps is free until it isn't. Here's the bill at every stage, and what you'd have to build to avoid it. (markdown: https://asoitis.com/reviews/revenuecat.md)

## How to use this library

1. **Read the verdict first** — The top of each review says who the tool is for and who should skip it. If you're in the second group, you're done.
2. **Find your revenue row** — Cost tables run from pre-launch to about $50k a month. Read the row you'll be at in six months, not today.
3. **Check the limits section** — Every review ends with what the tool won't do. That's usually the deciding factor.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do you handle conflicts of interest?

Where we have a relationship with a tool — for example, we install RevenueCat as part of the Paywall Setup — the review discloses it at the top. Pricing and feature claims come from the vendor's own published pages, linked on every review.

### How current is the pricing?

Each page shows the date its pricing was last checked against the vendor's site. We re-check monthly and whenever a vendor announces a change.

### Can you recommend a tool for my app?

The $99 audit includes a stack recommendation based on your revenue, platforms and what you're trying to fix — sometimes the answer is no new tool at all.

## Have it done for you

**The Audit — $99 one-time.** Not sure which tools you need? The audit looks at your listing, funnel and revenue stage and tells you what to buy, what to skip, and what to fix first.
